Working beside professional chefs and the Culinary Director, the Culinary Intern will assist with our upcoming class of the FRESHstart Kitchen. The FRESHstart Kitchen is a 14-Week Culinary Job Training Program that educates and prepares low-income residents of Chester County for opportunities and sustainable employment in the food-service industry.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in menu development, recipe formulation, facilities management, and the day-to-day operations of an active production kitchen. For the full internship description and information to apply click here.
Raised Bed Garden Intern
The Raised Bed Garden intern will work on-site at various garden sites throughout Chester County and at our main office in Exton. The focus of this internship will be to critically analyze the participation of residents at our community garden Fairview Village in Phoenixville and reimagine how the Food Bank could engage this community using best practices to inspire activity in the garden for years to come.
The Fresh2You intern will work on-site at market locations throughout Chester County and at the Food Bank’s office in Exton supporting basic market operations.

Students are encouraged to apply for listed internship opportunities as well as for opportunities that may not, as of yet, be listed on our website. College representatives may also contact us on behalf of students involved in educational programs that require field experience.
Internship projects are unpaid and provide an educational experience for a college student under the mentorship of a Food Bank manager and sponsoring educational institution.
