BUTCHER FEES COVERED - If you donate your deer through one of the butchers listed below, the butcher will process the deer meat into ground venison free of charge to the hunter and on your behalf, donate the meat to the Chester County Food Bank. Venison is a healthy source of protein that will help provide much needed nutrition to the 70,000 people in Chester County that struggle daily to get the food the need.

For this event, Matlack Florist has teamed up with The Chester County Food Bank in their mission to feed over 32,000 local households that don’t have enough food. Stop by with a non-perishable food or monetary donation, leave with a dozen FREE flowers.

There is a catch, however — you need to promise to keep only one flower for yourself and give the others away to 11 different people…meet someone new & spread goodwill, while contributing to the community in which we live and work.

FTD Good Neighbor Day originated in 1994 by a fellow FTD florist, and continues to be a day of celebration of friendship and goodwill for everyone!

The West Chester Food Cupboard is in need of volunteers for Monday and Wednesday and Thursday mornings to pick up donations from various stores in the greater West Chester area. You should be able to lift 30 pounds and have a vehicle that is able to accommodate bulky donations.

FEED KIDS THIS SUMMER!

We have over 70,000 school children in Chester County and 15% of these kids are on the free and reduced lunch program. This means that come June, families won’t have enough food in their homes to feed their kids. We can make a difference.

Our PB & J Food Drive

Right now, we need volunteers to start at PB & J Food Drive. As simple as it sounds, we need to start putting core food items in stock at the local food pantries. Their supplies are drastically low and we want to make sure kids get enough to eat this summer.

Please….start a PB & J Food Drive at your neighborhood, your workplace, your church or social organization. Collect your PB & J and give us a call. We can help you find the food cupboard or pantry closest to you when your food will make a difference.

Start your drive, large or small!  Gather jars of peanut butter and jelly – then call us.
