Volunteers are an integral part to the operation of the Chester County Food Bank. From individuals to corporations, each person and every volunteered hour makes an impact on our mission to feed and nourish our community.  Whether you want to dig in at one of our partnering farms or gardens, be an ambassador at community events, be hands on in our warehouse, or assist the office team, we’d love to have you or your group volunteer with us! Volunteer opportunities are available year round, however, our need does vary based on season, weather, inventory and program schedules.

We are in the process of integrating a new volunteer management software, VolunteerHub. Click the button above to view volunteer opportunities.  You can create your online VolunteerHub profile without registering for an event.  You will need to create a profile in VolunteerHub in order to register for a volunteering opportunity. All volunteers must be registered in order to volunteer. Walk-ins can not be accommodated.

GROUP VOLUNTEERS: If you would like to volunteer as a group (five or more people), please click here to complete the online group volunteer request form. (Click here for a downloadable PDF). We partner with Meal on Wheels of Chester County to provide healthy balanced meals for homebound seniors. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals and provide a friendly visit to a senior. If you are interested in volunteering to deliver meals, please click here to register with Meals on Wheels.(Delivering volunteers are organized through Meals on Wheels and NOT the Food Bank.)

Food drives are always needed especially through the winter and summer months. They are also a great way to give but on your own time.  Every bit of food helps us to feed our neighbors in need, so consider buying extra when you do your shopping or hosting a larger drive in your neighborhood or workplace.  Click here to read more about hosting a food drive, email food@chestercountyfoodbank.org or call Anne Shuniak at 610-873-6000.

We encourage all ages to participate in our efforts to help our Chester County neighbors in need. If you are interested in a guided tour of the Food Bank please contact Phoebe Kitson-Davis, at pkitson@chestercountyfoodbank.org or 610-873-6000.
