Volunteers are an integral part to the operation of the Chester County Food Bank. From individuals to corporations, each person and every volunteered hour makes an impact on our mission to feed and nourish our community. Whether you want to dig in at one of our partnering farms or gardens, be an ambassador at community events, be hands on in our warehouse, or assist the office team, we’d love to have you or your group volunteer with us!
Volunteer opportunities are available year round, however, our need does vary based on season, weather, inventory and program schedules. Ongoing opportunities are listed below, posted on our Facebook page or you can receive notifications by signing up for our volunteer email list. Registering does not sign you up for a task.
We are located at 650 Pennsylvania Drive in Exton (Eagleview Corporate Center).

Office volunteers help answer phones, greet volunteers and guests of the Food Bank, and complete basic office work like data entry, filing and mailings. Office volunteers must have good telephone skills, computer literate with basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel and a friendly personality. Office volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to commit 2 hours. Click here to view office volunteers shifts and to register.

Tuesday Night Volunteers – Winter Hiatus
Tuesday Night Volunteers will take a ‘winter break’. Check back here for other volunteer opportunities, like us on Facebook, or join our email list for updates. Please keep in mind that food donations are very much needed at this time.
We are in desperate need of food drives! Food drives are a great way to volunteer on your own time. Every bit of food helps us to feed our neighbors in need, so consider buying extra when you do your shopping or hosting a larger drive in your neighborhood or workplace. Click here to read more about hosting a food drive, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Anne Shuniak at 610-873-6000.
By signing up for our volunteer email list, you will be notified of upcoming and immediate volunteer needs. Volunteer spots are limited and registration is required. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate ‘walk-in’ volunteers. The email will contain information about the volunteering activity and a link to register. There is no need to respond unless you can help. (If you are unable to access the above link, simply email Anne Shuniak with your name, email and phone and you will be added to the list.)
