Community Education Coordinator

This team member works throughout Chester County to empower, engage, and educate underserved communities experiencing food insecurity. The position develops curriculum, conducts programs, recruits participants, and evaluates outcomes to ensure all community members have access to the services provided by CCFB. The Community Education Coordinator partners with individuals and organizations to articulate needs and gaps, and explores solutions to identified challenges.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required. This is a full-time exempt, salaried position. It may require weekend and evening hours and sometimes more than 40 hours per week. Work schedule will be adjusted as needed to compensate for busy seasonal times.

Community Food Advocate

This position is a good fit for anyone interested in the well-being of their community, in local food and agriculture, nutrition, and/or food access. Community Food Advocates are trained to be food leaders and work in one or more of CCFB programs.

This is a part-time (4-20 hours/week) hourly (non-exempt) position. Scheduled hours may vary based on seasonality. You must be able to: (1) work in a fast-paced and loud environment in both extreme heat and cold,  (2) lift 50+ pounds, (3) be on your feet for long periods of time (2-3 hours).

Mobile Market Associate

This position is a vital member of the FreshYou team who supports all aspects of market operations and plays a significant role in increasing access to healthy foods throughout Chester County. This position is ideal for someone who wants to work for their community, enjoys connecting with people, is a skilled multi-tasker, and can troubleshoot in real-time without being overwhelmed.

This is a seasonal, 25-30 hour per week, part-time hourly (non-exempt) position from May through November. It may require evening and weekend work. Work schedule may be adjusted as needed to accommodate high-demand seasonal times based on the needs of CCFB.

Internship Opportunities

Looking for field experience as part of your educational program for college? Students are encouraged to apply for listed internship opportunities as well as for opportunities that may not, as of yet, be listed on our website.  To apply, submit a letter of interest to the department manager, specifying the goals of your school’s field experience program, and/or your own personal goals.  College representatives may also contact us on behalf of students involved in educational programs that require field experience.

Internship projects are unpaid and provide an educational experience for a college student under the mentorship of a Food Bank manager and sponsoring educational institution.
