Chef & Kitchen Operations Supervisor

This position is responsible for the production and quality of food, inventory controls, sanitation, and management of volunteers as needed in the Chester County Food Bank commercial kitchen. The person will work closely with FRESHStart Kitchen Culinary Job Training students, training them in basic food preparation skills. They will work collaboratively with the Kitchen Associate to help volunteers and trainees in the Processing kitchen.

Kitchen Associate

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and processing fresh produce. This individual is also responsible for inventory management of all fresh produce. Additionally, the associate works in collaboration with the Nutrition and Produce Manager, assisting with the distribution of fresh food to CCFB programs and partnering agencies. This is a very fast-paced position during the peak growing season (June-November). Off-season roles (December-May) will vary according to department needs.

This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position. Scheduled hours may vary based on seasonality. At times, it will regularly require evening and weekend work and hours. Executive Assistant & HR Coordinator

This position is a dual role reporting to the CEO to support the overall administrative needs of the organization. This position is responsible for HR generalist functions, including but not limited to the following: employment, recruitment, employee relations, EEO, Visa processing (H1B), DEI, and engagement.

Internship Opportunities

Looking for field experience as part of your educational program for college? Students are encouraged to apply for listed internship opportunities as well as for opportunities that may not, as of yet, be listed on our website.  To apply, submit a letter of interest to the department manager, specifying the goals of your school’s field experience program, and/or your own personal goals.  College representatives may also contact us on behalf of students involved in educational programs that require field experience.

Internship projects are unpaid and provide an educational experience for a college student under the mentorship of a Food Bank manager and sponsoring educational institution.
