Oats are a whole grain that are a great source of fiber, making oatmeal a tasty and filling breakfast! Add some flavor and texture to your oatmeal with apples and cinnamon or substitute your own favorite additions!

 1 apple, cored and roughly chopped
 1 cup rolled oats
 ½ tsp cinnamon
 2 cups water
 pinch of salt

Combine the apple, oats, cinnamon, and salt in a large microwave-safe bowl, and stir in the water.


Cover and seal with plastic wrap or a tight fitting lid and heat in the microwave on high until apples are soft and most of the liquid is absorbed (about 4 minutes).


Serve immediately and enjoy!
