Chester County Food Bank Announces Record Amount of Purchased Food for FY25
As need grows, we’ve relied on donated dollars to rise to the challenge. Over the past three fiscal years, we’ve invested nearly $1 million more in food purchases.
We couldn’t meet this challenge without the support of our community. Thank you for helping us ensure access to nutritious and familiar food to Chester County neighbors struggling with food insecurity.

Ways to Donate
Want to make a difference? We have some exciting upcoming opportunities in August and September where food donations can be made to help support our Chester County neighbors struggling with food insecurity.
In August, during the week of August 25-29, we will be hosting an onsite canned food drive in celebration of our 16th anniversary! Our most-needed items at this time are canned fruits in their own juice, and applesauce.
In September, we have a lot in store!
- All month long, we will be collecting food in honor of Hunger Action Month. Please join us in out fight against food insecurity by helping contribute to our goal of collecting 12,000 pounds of food for our community!
- On September 20th, we will be hosting a Saturday food drive for Hunger Action Month, and we will also be participating in a paper shredding and food collection event with our friends from TruMark Financial Credit Union.
- On September 27th, we will be participating in a paper shredding and food collection event with our friends from First Resource Bank.
If you are able, your gift to help our neighbors in need would be greatly appreciated.

CCFB Team Spotlight: Community Relations
We love our CCFB staff! This August for our monthly CCFB Team Spotlights, we’re highlighting our incredible Community Relations Team!
Led by Director of Community Relations Nick Imbesi, with support from Case Management Associate Valentina Bracho and Marketing Associate Anna Luchetti, the CCFB’s Community Relations team strengthens community ties through strategic advocacy, marketing, and social services support.
The Community Relations team works to share the story of CCFB and engages the public to mobilize and educate our community to ensure access to nutritious and familiar food.
Some of the many services provided by our Community Relations team include:
- Driving collaboration and advancing policies that move us closer to a food-secure Chester County by partnering with elected officials, fellow food banks, nonprofits, businesses, and chambers of commerce.
- Assisting neighbors across Chester County with applying for SNAP and understanding how the program works such as helping with submitting verification documents, answering questions, and tracking application status.
- Coordinating and participating in outreach activities to raise awareness about SNAP and engaging with the community.
- Assisting neighbors in need of emergency food by helping them on-site and connecting them with other food pantries and resources.
- Ensuring food insecurity stays top-of-mind for policymakers at every level from county, state and federal.
- Sharing the stories that matter and amplifying the voices of neighbors facing hunger and connecting the community to our mission.
- Creating marketing materials for CCFB’s informational and communication systems such as our Monthly E-Newsletter, website, press releases, social media posts, and printed materials.
Our Community Relations team helps tell our story, and we are so grateful for all their efforts to engage, inspire, and advocate for our neighbors across Chester County. Thank you, team!
