3 Season Planting Plans
The following planting plans are designed for 3-season growing. These plans are intended to offer gardeners ways to keep their garden beds producing during all three seasons (spring, summer, and fall.) Each plan is for one garden bed and consists of two pages. Page 1 gives you a visual look at what the bed will look like during each season. Page 2 gives you written information on when and how to grow each crop including spacing recommendations, planting windows, and links to video tutorials.
These planting plans are based on:
- 3′ x 10′ raised beds
- Chester County front dates: last frost 4/23; first frost 10/15
Plan 1: Radish & Peas, Lettuce & Pole Beans, Beets
Plan 2: Spinach, Squash, Scallions
Plan 3: Radish, Eggplant, Lettuce
Plan 4: Broccoli, Bush Beans, Lettuce
Plan 5: Beets, Cucumbers & Bush Beans, Radish
Plan 6: Potato, Kale
Plan 7: Lettuce, Peppers, Spinach
Plan 8: Spinach, Tomato, Salad Turnips
