Feed Kids All Summer Long
Summer should be a time for children to play, learn, and simply enjoy being kids, but for many families in our community, summer also means the loss of dependable school meals and increased stress about how to keep food on the table. Your support of the Chester County Food Bank helps provide nutritious food, kid-friendly snacks, and simple meals that children can prepare safely at home.
Your donation will ensure that children across Chester County have the energy they need to stay healthy, active, and ready to succeed when they return to school this fall because no child should spend the summer worrying about hunger.
Together, we can make summer sweeter for every child.

Turpin Landscape Design Build’s Annual Water Garden Tour Raises Money in Support of the Chester County Food Bank
Looking for a fun and unique summer event in Chester County? Turpin Landscape Design Build is hosting their annual Brandywine Valley Water Garden Tour on Saturday, July 25th and Sunday, July 26th!
This fun-filled two-day self-guided tour winds its way throughout Chester County, offering the opportunity to visit the homes of local residents who have created beautiful waterscapes in their backyards. Beautiful landscaping, colorful flowers, arrays of dazzling waterfalls, and friendly fish of all colors, shapes, and sizes await those who visit just a few of the many homes featured on the Tour.
On Saturday evening, tour participants, along with the homeowners who have opened their yards and water features in support of the event, are also invited to gather at Turpin Landscaping on Martins Corner Road for the barbecue at Turpin Headquarters at 287 Martins Corner Road in Coatesville.
Funds raised by ticket sales will ensure the Chester County Food Bank can meet the growing need for food assistance in Chester County.
We are so grateful to Turpin Landscape Design Build Build for their generosity in helping us fight food insecurity in Chester County through this wonderful event.
From One Food Bank to Another: A Partnership Rooted in Community
At Chester County Food Bank, we know that fighting food insecurity is never a job we do alone. The strongest solutions are often built through relationships between neighbors, community organizations, and even fellow food banks hundreds of miles apart.
Recently, we had the opportunity to donate one of our retired Fresh2You Mobile Market trucks to Love In Action, a nonprofit organization in Stephens City, Virginia dedicated to serving its community. While the truck had completed its chapter here in Chester County, we knew it still had many miles of service left in it. Today, that same truck, now named Lia, is back on the road, helping Love In Action distribute food to neighbors through a Mobile Fresh Market.
This relationship is another direct example of the way that Chester County Food Bank can mobilize the network to best support neighbors facing food insecurity. Organizations like ours face many of the same challenges: reaching families who may have limited transportation, bringing fresh and nutritious food directly into communities, and finding creative ways to remove barriers to food access.
By sharing this vehicle with Love In Action, we weren’t simply donating equipment. We were investing in a fellow organization’s ability to meet neighbors where they are and continue expanding access to healthy food. In turn, their work inspires all of us and reinforces an important truth: when one community grows stronger, we all benefit.
The truck may have changed addresses, but its mission remains the same. It continues to carry food, hope, and connection directly to people who need it most. We’re proud that this truck’s journey is continuing with Love In Action, and we’re grateful for the relationships that allow us to serve our neighbors together.
