CCFB News – February 2026

To All Our Volunteers and Corporate Groups: Thank You
The Chester County Food Bank is fortunate to have the overwhelming support of so many generous volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to assist our staff in our daily efforts to ensure access to nutritious and familiar food across Chester County.
From the hundreds of individual volunteers who regularly help in our warehouse, office, kitchens, and at our farms and gardens, to the many corporate groups who take time out of their busy work schedules to assist our team by packing food boxes, assembling prepared meals, and processing produce, each helping hand makes a large impact.
We could not do what we do without you. Thank you, volunteers!

West Chester University Nursing Student Volunteers Bring Joy Through Color Some Kindness Box Designs
CCFB was thrilled to work with student volunteers from West Chester University’s Student Nursing Association! Spending their Wednesday with us, these students turned simple cardboard boxes into joyful masterpieces that will be sure to make their recipients smile.
Our Color Some Kindness program offers volunteers the opportunity to decorate grocery boxes with cheerful, heartfelt messages to help bring smiles to seniors facing food insecurity in Chester County. Once designed, these boxes are brought back to CCFB where they are filled with much-needed food items and then delivered to seniors across the County. These boxes are so beloved by our senior neighbors, that some have even used their boxes as decorations.
Due to the program’s popularity, we offer both onsite volunteer opportunities at CCFB and offsite opportunities for our Kindness Crew to come to you! The Kindness Crew will guide your group in creating heartfelt boxes and share the impact CCFB has in our community.
If you’d like to Color Some Kindness with your group, please complete our request form. Due to high demand, we ask that requests be submitted at least four weeks in advance. While evening and weekend times are available, they’re offered on a limited basis.
