CCFB News – September 2026

Help Us Fight Food Insecurity this Hunger Action Month

It’s Hunger Action Month! 🥕 All September long, we will be holding a food collection challenge with the goal of collecting 17,000 pounds of food in honor of our 17th anniversary.

If you are able, please consider making a food donation throughout this month to help us provide food to Chester County neighbors facing food insecurity.

Donations can be brought to our Exton office, located at 650 Pennsylvania Drive, Exton, PA 19341.

10,285 pounds of food to go! Please help us finish strong this Hunger Action Month as we continue to aim for our goal of collecting 17,000 pounds of food to meet the growing need in Chester County.

To donate, please stop by our Exton office at 650 Pennsylvania Drive, Exton, PA 19341. Our warehouse is open for food donations Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

If we all work together to give what we can, reaching this goal is possible! We at CCFB believe it can be done, so we hope you can join us during the rest of September in our efforts to see a Chester County without hunger!

The Chester County Food Bank and Kennett Area Community Service held a joint press conference to kick off Hunger Action Month on 9/2 in Kennett Borough. The community rallied to bring awareness to food insecurity in Chester County.

Speakers included KACS CEO Julie Bensen, Chester County Commissioner Josh Maxwell, State Senator John Kane, and Kennett Borough Mayor Matthew Fetick.

Thank you to everyone for joining us in our fight against food insecurity!

Help Us Continue to Distribute Our Community Care Bags

Food donations for our Community Care Bags are critically low, and we are unable to make any additional bags for Chester County neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Please consider donating Monday-Friday between 8:00am-4:30pm at 650 Pennsylvania Drive, Exton, PA 19341. For more information, please give us a call at 610-873-6000.

The Pennsylvania Hunt Cup Returns for its 91st Running

We are honored to serve as beneficiary of the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup Races’ 91st running of the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup on Sunday, November 1st!

This race challenges horse and rider with a rigorous four-mile course, but beyond the competition, the real victory is the collective support they garner to fight food insecurity across Chester County.

We are grateful for the generosity of everyone involved in this event, and to the Hunt Cup organizers for selecting our mission to be part of their legacy.

Get your tickets today or reserve your tailgate spot to get close to the action & support CCFB too!

The McKee Group Supports CCFB at Annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic

We were so grateful to serve as beneficiary of the 2026 Frank A. McKee Golf Classic this month!

Since 2007, The McKee Group has invited golfers to play for a cause, donating to a different organization every year. This year, we were honored that they chose to support CCFB in our mission to ensure access to nutritious and familiar food to Chester County neighbors facing food insecurity.

Through the support of the McKee group, and the generosity of all who attended the golf classic, $31,000 was raised for the Chester County Food Bank. We are so grateful to all who donated, and it was such a joy to attend this event.

We know that experiencing food insecurity can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Together with our incredible community partners, we are here to provide support and resources to anyone in need.
