Starting November 13 through December 24, 2023, The Bentley Family, will generously match every dollar donated to Chester County Food Bank up to $500,000! The Power of Community Matching Gift is a call to action for local businesses, groups, organizations, and individuals to unite in a collaborative effort to address food insecurity in Chester County.
“The continual rise in food and housing costs creates an unstable situation for too many families. Our neighbors – here in Chester County – should not have to make difficult choices like choosing between heat, housing, and food,” said Andrea Youndt, CEO of the Chester County Food Bank.
Tens of thousands of families, children, seniors, veterans, and individuals in Chester County are struggling to put food on the table. The collective funds from the gift match will allow Chester County Food Bank to provide nearly 800,000 healthy meals to those in need at a time when the demand for food has increased nearly 30%, yet food and financial donations have decreased by more than 25 percent year over year.
“The Food Bank has spent an additional one million dollars toward food costs this past year,” said Andrea Youndt, CEO of the Chester County Food Bank. “The gift match from The Bentley Family will showcase the power of community, amplifying our ability to provide wholesome sustenance to neighbors battling food insecurity in Chester County.”
