Hunters Sharing the Harvest

Hunters Sharing The Harvest (HSH) is Pennsylvania’s charitable venison donation program for hunters who share their venison via a statewide network of participating butchers to Food Banks across Pennsylvania. HSH participating butchers, who are paid for their services through monetary donations, coordinate the meat deliveries and work with local food banks. The venison is processed free of charge to the hunter and picked up after processing by the Food Bank. Through this program, food banks are able to receive thousands of pounds of a low-fat, good source of protein to distribute to partner food cupboards. HSH is not a program of the Chester County Food Bank. HSH is its own registered 501c3 non-profit charity with funding and support derived from a mix of public and private sources.
