Bringing the Bounty of Chester County to Everyone!
On the Road with Fresh2You
Welcome to Fresh2You! Look for our one-of-a-kind truck from June through November in a neighborhood near you. Fresh2You makes select stops throughout Chester County bringing you fresh, delicious, seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Stop at any Fresh2You Market location, pick up a basket and peruse our abundant display of produce. You’ll find a variety of seasonal items including mouth-watering melons, juicy tomatoes, savory squash and so much more.
The selection doesn’t stop there! Fresh2You carries an assortment of dried good including beans, grains and our proprietary blends of herbs and spices. We are also your stop for local farm fresh eggs and some of Chester County’s best honey from the great apiarists at Swarmbustin’ Honey.
Are you new to cooking or just looking for new recipes? We’ve got you covered! Fresh2You has fantastic volunteers cooking up Taste It! recipes, highlighting a different seasonal vegetable every week. You can take home a Fresh2you recipe and purchase our $5 Weekly Recipe Bundle, which includes all the ingredients to prepare a quick, tasty meal for you and your family!
Fresh2You accepts all forms of payment, including cash, credit/debit, SNAP/EBT and WIC or Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) coupons. For customers shopping with SNAP/EBT or FMNP, Fresh2You can stretch your food budget by offering matching dollars in the form of Veggie Bucks. These can be used on any future purchases of fruits and vegetables during the Fresh2You season!
From Farm to Market
Fresh2You sources most of the produce we sell from our very own Agriculture Department, with on-staff farmers growing at several locations throughout Chester County. We also support our network of local farms and producers by purchasing additional fruits and vegetables and other goods, bringing you the best in seasonal produce and locally made products.
In 2017, Fresh2You piloted implementing Fruit and Vegetable Prescriptions (FVRx) in partnership with The Clinic in Phoenixville. With remarkable success and increasing interest in the community, Fresh2You now offers FVRx at three locations: The Clinic, La Comunidad Hispana and Community Health & Dental Care! Patients in Chester County will be able to receive weekly Veggie Bucks to redeem at any Fresh2You market location, prescribed to them by their physicians.
With support from Fresh2You Mobile Market, established Farmers Markets throughout the County are becoming SNAP retailers. Downingtown Farmers Market was the first in Chester County to accept SNAP in 2017. “Friends of Fresh2You” include the Downingtown, Eagleview and Malvern Farmers Markets all of which accept SNAP as well and WIC and FMNP vouchers. Click here for times and locations. If you are a market manager and are interested in becoming a SNAP retailer, contact Roberta Cosentino, Fresh2You Market Manager, for more information.
Fresh2You will be hosting a series of community events relating to our local food system. We welcome customers and any interested members of the community to join us for an evening of dinner and discussion focused on access to real, healthy food in your community. These conversations are meant to strengthen community relationships by inspiring, empowering and building social awareness. Please contact Roberta Cosentino for more information or to get involved.
More Ways to Get Involved
